I am nat familiar with the Perth scene, but check out fetlife for the local groups. Look for events called munches, they are basically social gatherings in a vanilla environment and are ideal to meet local kinksters.

Like the previous reply. The Perth scene very much exists. Sydney scene, you’re in luck. Yes, go to munches for an intro. The Court in Northbridge often. Just look up munches and groups... go from there. Enjoy.
