With the steady beat of the war drums growing eerily louder, the Russian navy assembling in the Mediterranean for the first time in decades and the UK air base in Cyprus bustling with activity as it fills with fighter jets and bombers from around the world preparing to spread a little freedom and democracy straight from their weapon bays ... I got to thinking about those poor bastards in Pompeii & Herculaneum two thousand years ago when Vesuvius blew his load. You have to hand it to hose few that managed to get themselves encased in an ashen mold while still engaged in their various acts of love making - no mean feat under the circumstances. Death is imminent, there is no escape, you know it is coming. Your final pose frozen in time for millennium before being rediscovered and marveled at ...What would you choose to be doing when that inevitable moment arrived ?

just accept it, look the roiling, billowing ash cloud come towards me.Why? Because of the last 6 months, for years i had the feeling i was missing out on so much (which is only partly true since i have done many things i consider to be normal whereas my peers would never ever think of it). But now, here in 2013 i have made the choice to live and experience as much as possible. I have tried things that were taboo for me before and i feel an experience richer.I will not regret a single thing i have done, thus i have "lived". If my time must come, so be it. No more "what if's"

I doubt destiny would be so kind as to facilitate the moment arriving on the vinegar stroke so I was thinking I'd take the opportunity to send a message to our future selves .. I mean they'll be wondering how we managed to fuck it up so badly.I suggest we all sit in a circle holding hands, sing Kumbaya and hope for the best.
