  You have always had to keep your whits about you in Bali. They are a very conservative, religious and tribal society with laws that reflect this. They keep up appearances for tourist dollars giving rise to naivety and complacency among tourists and some deep resentment among locals. Things can go South spectacularly very quickly. Whilst Swinging and nudity go way beyond crossing the line, Your question is valid though as Swinging events have been and are held in very tempting, well organised resort takeover style events. I don’t know the underlying mechanics but powers must be at play that even the hotel can’t really guarantee and there’s no way in hell the locals don’t know about it. Many have had awesome experiences but I am yet to be convinced naivety and complacency isn’t once again leading to a nasty reminder.
