That's really bad luck, but you didn't do the wrong thing. Otherwise we'd routinely take out our kids' tonsils and appendices because they don't serve any purpose and they can cause trouble later down the track.

About 7-10 days to heal ...provided there are no complications / infection.. Recommended not engaging in sex for at least 3-4 weeks. Info coming from a medical knowledge of having a number of patients having the procedure. No you are not a bad mum for not having them done as infants. - Posted from rhpmobile

Whilst I am circumcised, neither of my now adult children were, we just never saw the need. None of my children are baptised either. Both these customs are based on beliefs rather than science. But if I'm wrong, at least the ends of the boy's penises will be a little protected from the fires of hell.

I will let him know. I did not know men can have this trouble when having a foreskin....my late husband was circumcised. I feel for him he is my son.... and I think shit. And I know how precious the penis is for a man.

Hi Litonya, I had a circumcision about 10 years ago, due to it being painful to pull back over an erect penis, and really it was the best decision ever. The first 2 weeks are quite painful, and you go out of your mind trying to avoid getting an erection. I remember it was the first time 'big-brother uncut' was on tv, and it caught me by surprise one night, and I yelled so loud im sure the neighbours woke! Not nice. Anyway, I think by about the third or fourth week it was ok, but I wasn't game to have sex for a few months, because scar tissue is usually quite weak, and there are some things a man is not willing to risk ;) And of course it's not your fault, from the 80's on, circumcisions are quite rare - although I do recommend them. Sex is much better, and it is so much easier to keep clean. Tell him the pain is worth it!

I am circumcised & it was done when I was a baby. Too inject a little humour- it was such a traumatic experience, I couldn't walk or talk for a year. To be fair on him, I think nearly all men are softies when it comes to PAIN down there, I certainly am.

Thank you to you all, its good to hear you men. This is my oldest and he had quite a lot of trouble with his manly bits. His testicles didn't decent after his birth so he needed 3 OPs until it was right. One of his testicles is permanently stitched inside his scrotum....it was twisted. And now this one.....I really feel for him. Cheers men of RHP for the feedback. L

I can't imagine how all the 'trouble with his manly bits' might trouble your son. I hope he knows the troubles are just quirks of the human body - we all have them in some form or another :) - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm not circumcised and neither are my two sons and we are (touch wood) yet to suffer any medical issues related to that. I made sure my sons knew how to clean and care for themselves from a very young age though which I think is of the utmost importance. Hope your boy heals well and enjoys showing off his new appendage lol Mr😉 - Posted from rhpmobile
