Forum fixes

October 08 2016

I hate that when you open a forum thread it goes to page 1, when 99.9% of the time I want to go to the end of the thread. So, I made a fix for that - it runs on any browser that can run Tampermonkey (a free little extension that works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge - even on some Android browsers). Install steps: (change the "dot" to "." and "slash" to "/", didn't want to trip the 'posting a link' filter) 1. go to: tampermonkey dot net click the download/install 2. go to: bit dot ly slash rhpsotl click install Now when you go to a thread it goes to the last page, not the first (all the other nav stuff works as normal) As I find other annoyances that I can work around like this I'll update it and they'll update automatically for anyone using it.

Quoting 'Betty7216' One of those little things that does my head in 😣 Can you sort out reply with quote now please? 👍 unfortunately that's an issue I only get on iPhone/iPad, and they don't let you insert scripts the way the desktop browsers do (there's bookmarklets.. which mayyyyy work, but that'd be a different thing) - I'll file a request with them, since I can see where it's going wrong in master.js file, but the only place it can be patched is on browsers where it already works :-/ On regular browsers it could be made to do quotes more like in vBulletin/phpBB here you'd see the codes and not the italic, formatted style - but that would probably be more confusing for most people.

it also doesn't work on desktop/laptop if you get to the thread by clicking on a link in your stream, I believe? Or is that just a special feature for me? :)

Maybe RHP can hire you to sort out their entire website and mobile app. The worst I think I've ever used, in both cases. *yeah dreaming I know*

LD - I don't know whether the money is worth the hell of that :p

Is there a way to do the same for the mobile app? Instead of fixing their problems, I say they hand it over to you to start again. It'd probably be easier that way, for a genius such as yourself 😉 - Posted from rhpmobile

(sorry, I was watching that show when I read your ideas/solutions so you reminded me of those geniuses........but that's the only thing you'd have in common with those guys..........you're much sexier than they are!)
