Ghosted then required??? How do you feel?

Were interested in trying to find out how you feel when you reach out to a couple and via a private text but not to get a reply….. You see that they have read your text and you anxiously wait for their reply but they leave you hanging on ‘read’. Then a few days, weeks, months later you get a text that says ‘hey?’. Understandably, we all have lives and we have likes and dislikes… but how should we feel and act when this kind of interaction occurs? Interested to hear your thoughts?

I'd be tempted to block them. No "sorry we didn't get back to you before, but life got busy. By the way, we really like xyz from your message and abc about your profile." But then, I'm a guy on this app, and got very few replies back when I had my paid membership, so I'd probably have cut them some slack to see whether they could eventually muster up something more profound than "hey."

Months later? I’d ignore them. Yeah, we’re all busy but we are also on our phones daily… takes 10 seconds to send a message. No one is that busy that they can’t spare 10 seconds even to write ‘hey I’m just a bit busy at the moment but will get back to you soon… haven’t forgotten about you!’ As to how you should feel? Yeah, it sucks. We all like to feel valued and wanted… but we also need to grow very thick skin in this lifestyle. The feeling of rejection is never nice but it happens. Just need to move on 😊

some times it is one who has read it and needs to show the other and see what they think and go from there . i know that is what happens with us

There may be many reasons for this. This joint is cockers full of temptations and that kind of comment kinda shows that to me. Now I can dig that they may have missed a message and got waylaid. And you can clearly see when viewing a profile if you have chatted with them before (well on the website it does, not sure about the app) But I see it more likely as they were not interested at the time as they had other prospects they were more interested in. More than likely when those prospects died off they went back to the messages that they had previously ignored. I would say this happens quite often considering the choices out there in this here place

Sometimes I might have a quick look while at work. If someone I'm really interested in messages I'll often wait till I have more time to write a decent reply but often things slip my mind and I'll forget to reply altogether. The "Hey" may be a sheepish wave to see if you might forgive them and warrant a longer next message. I understand the frustrations though.

You put an effort into 1st message, after sometime *weeks/months) they reply with just a "Hey"? There is no effort put in their end = no effort in bedroom. IMO best to move on. They are strangers and you don't owe them anymore of your precious time. Ms Foxy

There have been many forum topics surrounding messaging etiquette, ghosting, blocking etc. Our view is that if they were interested they would have put the effort in and replied already! Unfortunately some people seem to develop what we call RHP amnesia in which they forget to reply, you delete the chat then weeks/months later they message you like nothing ever happened. We have called people out on this in the past and we actually recieved an apology here and there. Saying they are to busy to reply is a load of BS, if you have time log in and read your messages then you have time to reply.

Sometime message got buried so quick. I imagine couples just like females will have thousands in their inbox. Maybe it was unintentional. Like they forgot to reply right there right then, fast forward a few days later then your message got burried under tons of new messages. They found yours like much much later n said hey just to see if you're still there n still interested.

I'd reply"Is it time to play the dull word game?" " I'll go next". "Ha.". Then I would never reply again. Because who needs the "Hey" energy in their life?

I was ghosted today by someone after spending 3 days talking. He obviously got a better offer but he didn't have the guts to tell me just deleted me
