Ladies, we need to talk

May 02 2019

My partner actually got me onto this podcast ("Ladies, we need to talk" by Yumi Stynes), all about women's issues - libido, hormones, how to get and give pleasure, cheating, etc. It's really fun and doesn't spend the first 30 min with a crass American yapping on about what they're going to talk about. Is there a male equivalent for men's issues, without being derogatory about women? I'm a pervy girl and want hear about all things male beyond stereotypes of libido, sex, anal pleasure....male squirting? Xx Ms - Posted from rhpmobile

At least for me, anyway. Dan Savage's Lovecast - there's a free version with ads or you can pay premium and get extended episodes with no ads. A good podcast for all things to do with relationships and sexual stuff. All walks of life ring in with their questions. Yes, he is an American but he is very funny and engaging and I listened to about 50 hours worth I reckon on holiday recently. As far as general ''let's talk about being a man'' podcasts, there may be some but I'm not sure I would be interested. I listen to ''Bang On'' from Myf Warhurst and Zan Rowe, which is a general chat show about all things pop culture, but they also talk quite a bit about feminist issues, to the point that some episodes can just become a rant (particularly from Zan). Such episodes are quite boring, my point being that a podcast that just sits around talking about gender issues or how much it sucks to be a man etc etc would probably only hold my attention for a couple of episodes at the maximum.

Dan Savage is great, we saw him speak at the Opera House a few years ago and he's just as engaging on the stage. (Oh and no problem with Americans! Just the cultural tendency in recordings to keep talking about what they're about to talk about, their individual experience of it etc. Get to the point!) When I posed this question to my partner he said there probably aren't any because men's issues are every podcast by society default. But I thought I'd ask anyway. For science.

As far as I’m concerned I have no libido issues what so ever and actually the older I get the better I feel. Perhaps might be the Mediterranean blood???? Who knows Everyone is different at the end of the day and all here need to accept that

I thought the Man Show covered the fundamentals 😄 I’d rather cheesegrate my genitals, than endure being lectured by Yumi. PS.... that’s a metaphor, for all my fans 😂

I asked Recently on another platform about good sexual podcasts . Haven’t had chance to listen to them yet but can give you the list if you like. Not sure if they are hosted by a man though and focus on men? ML reminds me of the episode of Ren and Stimpy where one of the characters grates his butt cheeks.

Thank you EQ. In my forum lurking I do notice your giving nature. I'll do a forum search for it so good to have the heads up. Reflecting some of the sentiment about listening to gendered issues as being a bit of a waa waa whine session, I agree and tend to stay away from that. I want to know everything from Straight guys who finger their own arses...What works To Men who suddenly have hard on problems, can you rewire your source of pleasure To What happens to men's libido and sexuality over the lifetime Forget pop media. At least judging from the messages I got on how to navigate my own body and relationships. WAY OFF.
