Multiple Posts

March 22 2014

Why do some members need to post successive replies on the same posted subject. One after the other from the same member. Is it an attention grabber, or just a "blonde moment" of hey, I had a malfunction. Most are off subject during at one of the multiple posts, and some are muted as being a typed correction.Blunt fact it just looks like a Kath and Kym moment (look at moi,,,,, look at moi)

I do it, mainly because I don't like super long answers so I sometimes break my responses up If I am making a few different points. That's my personal preference.... And I am an exhibitionist so I want everyone to look at my tits of course! I was very tempted to post that .... One word at a time. Lol.

Sometimes it is a look at moi ,look at moi moment.....sometimes it is an after thought...auto correct is a bitch and autocorrect can be an embarrassment if you are posting from a phone or tablet....sometimes I don't read posts because they are wayyyyy too long.....and sometimes I know that the poster will have said the same thing before....like Meeka who my autocorrect calls Media, I prefer short posts:-) short attention span too is me :-) xx Q

Try not to worry about it too much Traum...your brain will eventually let you just skim over the"look at Moi Look at Moi" posts and you will barely even notice them. Yes, some are worthwhile, those where the person has something considered and new to add to their thoughts...or correcting the funny predictive words their phones choose over what was intended. Its quite handy in a way, if incessant , irrelevant chatter does nothing for you, then you have dodged a bullet so to speak. If their posts here make you wish they would shut the fuck up at times....can you image how much duct tape or the size of ball gag you would need in a personal meeting! Tip.....RHP aint Facebook.

For a conversation/debate to take place it requires the interaction of others, often multiple times. You have engaged people by making a post, how would you feel if no one responded? As for going off topic.....it happens here just as it does in real life, same as the piss and wind factor as demonstrated beautifully by Kizza. You'll make friends here too and if you're lucky you'll get to a meet and greet someday and actually laugh, chat, take the piss, debate and communicate with them face to face. Hope everyone's having a wonderful Sunday ~ Indagine (someday I'll learn how to make a long story short 😏)

I often wonder that myself!! Perhaps they spend way too much time on the forums and treat it like their own personal diary? Or maybe just feel the need to share every thought that comes in to their head? I'm just guess though. I honestly do not have an answer to your question!

How much is way too much time on the forums for someone else? OP, I think people post as you describe for all the reasons you listed and more. I learn two things about people when they do that - I don't want to read their posts, and I wouldn't click with them as a person. But others could say the same of my posts - which are often long and strong of opinion. No matter what you post or how, someone won't like it. That's human nature, I reckon :) - Posted from rhpmobile

and yes we do take a break now and again. Well then its up to those that have been looking down their nose to step up and post. You know the ones that are glued to the forums never post but tut tut tut at everything the plebs say. white noise yes, face book for grown ups? perhaps and real life, me thinks that a person would not get duct tape on people because they feel that forum posters are a bunch of dumb hicks with too much to say. if you felt that way, well don't meet people if you think they are a bunch of loud mouth idiots. I have liked all the people I have met on this site and especially the forum posters and I have met a lot of them, here at home and in nsw and in vic. it is networking and nothing wrong with that, to use this as a means to get to know people.a little banter a little off topic or even a bit of a tiff, its just like life. if you don't like it, then do not bother with the forums at all. just stay off and go fuck after all that's what its all about aint it? Quoting 'Meeka100' I find the comments about popcorn and move over on the couch comments a little bit lame. I no like. I like it when you put up that pic in particular the one of your nice arse, not that there is anything what so ever tiring by looking at your tits Meeka, when ever we read each others posts we end up in a predicament, well back in the days you did read my posts. It's a time learnt thing that perving on you is just nice, though I have taken it to learn to your dark, dirty and sometimes filthy minded humour. Mado Mado Tara xx

A one shot over the bow, without the need to post multiple times to get your point across. Well done. As far as cranky, nahhh ,,, condescending, yep you nailed that one. Happy to join in with serious debate, and love a good convo without the rubbish.wonders why there are not more newbies joining in, hence the comments. <<< wondering if I should post 3 or more time in a row to get seen?

For all the banter us men cop for not stringing a few words together of any sense. You as well not that your typical post is directed at giving every bloke and half of their missuses a hard on. Not sure whether or not you may be referring to replies being repeated 2-3 times. When it happens to me it's because my iPad is slow to send after hitting post your comment. I have learnt now to wait a minute or two and see if goes by itself the first time. Signed the quick fingered LVR.

I believe Traum is not referring to the same post appearing twice (yes, we have all been victim of the RHP glitch!), but rather people who make an initial post...

Many times right after hitting the Post button, I think of something to add. Other times I will use separate posts to quote different posters, or correct a spelling error I can't ignore (I leave many though.) If this annoys anyone, they can skip my posts. I'm ok with that. (If I post too much shit, does that make me a composter?)

Posts are actually on track tho, quite a lot happen to go off track due to someone finding something good about one of the postee's and then pursue that, that is after all what happens on many forums not just RHP...

somtimes you comeback and re read a post and have after thoughts or something more to add. Quite common for posts to go off topic, nothing wrong withit and can be fun.

I would prefer multiple responses to long responses. Correcting spelling mistakes - why bother. We all make typos and the corrections are just annoying. Responding back to individual posts I thing should be done one at a time. The biggest issue I believe is people getting way off the topic or carrying on personal conversations... flirting is cool, but there are times when a personal message should be sent. It also tends to be the same people and some very strong opinions that seem to be believed as facts that tend to dominate - that could account for newbies or less dominant (or opinionated) people not joining in so readily. Just my thoughts Brad
