Hey cheekyarses I nearly typed smart arses by mistake but I guess both fit he!he! Thanks for the Topic..:) It's surprising just when I go to reply I go blank ..Not a regular thing I asure you he!he! I remember some . Whatever.. so ignorant Baby./Babe I hate that so Condescending I feel when I get called it and way too generic..My Names Lu Plz use It he!he! This is Personal Neg word to me.. some may disagree..Widow/Widower I feel it's has ownership all over it ..My Husbands Passed over but I'm his Widow..Damn it I'm Single! How I got to be this way it doesn't matter I am Me not an attatchment.. same with Introducing a Partner this is my Wife Lu ..I feel it should be this is Lu My Wife so much more Positive . When I give someone the tools to remove their Neg; voice from ruling their lives saying a Mantra for 1..I tell them be consistent, Persisrtent, Forceful ..Then they say I'll try .. There's No I'll try You've defeated any chance you have before you even start.. It's I Will! you either do it or you don't ..one has to give their all to remove an unwanted guest in their House a Neg voice is as unwanted as you can get.. . Cheers Lu :)

A lot of people seem to take a lot of the ords I use in a negative manner. You know, words like 'arrogant', 'ignorant', hypercritical', or 'bigot' but I'm pretty positive about 'em when I use 'em.

Two words recently used by someone in my bed, after being handed a condom. He thought he would come, instead he was asked to go. Like Lu said: baby or babe, especially when used in the title of the first email. And "whatevs". Not sure that's even a word though.

People who use the words 'like' and/or 'you know' more than three times in a sentence should be shot.

im not a fan of all the short typos...rofl..omg.... jensman...how could anyone possibly takes those words negatively..... bit off topic but i find it interesting that our language seems to be geared toward the negative.....2 of the most commonly used words hello and goodbuy...so pull them apart and you get ...hell _ low..... good _ by...is saying by to good..

being called names is what gets us down...when people dont like what you've said...or disagree with you.... they sometimes fall into childish behaviours...and name calling would have to be the worse. we imagine this place to be for 'adults'.....and are constantly amazed when people resort to childish and immature taunts and insults...we find this a very negative thing to do..

Although, I do have an uncanny knack of being confrontational without intent....Words however that I absolutely loathe are tomoz, soz, whatevs, and hysterical fits of laughter when I get naked :p

Other words I find negative, but hear every day from my female friends: Fat, flabby, wobbly, gut, saggy, ugly, old, boring, unlovable, etc. etc. And that's just describing their men, imagine what they say about themselves...

You just reminded me of 1 common negative word in any situation but this is 1. When some Females are Dieting and eating cake etc not on their Plan.. She looks at the others around the table says I've been Naughty I shouldn't have eaten that ..Oh! that annoys me Big Time.. I just say to them ..You wanted it, ate it..Did you enjoy it? They always say yes.. Then don't damn well say You've been Naughty..You had a choice, you decided so just savour the Moment it's taste etc and balance it next meal..Geez!! The Word Dieting sets 1 up for Failure before they start Change of Lifestyle or change of eating. style are Positive. Not only that when they were eating they had Positive feelings enjoying the flavour of the cake.. Once finished eating it they went all Negative .. That negativity can make them gain weight.. Not the calories in the piece of cake ..it's all about wellbeing.. Also when they say I've Lost weight they're setting themselves up to fail because the mind sets out to find the Lost Klg or replace them ..I always say shed some weight so far My mind hasn't been looking for it ..I've shed over 35kg will continue to do so..If I choose to have something sweet I don't think about it I just enjoy it and go from there..Only Time I'm Interested in being Naughty is with a Lover :)Cheers Lu :)

Loooving your posts! Yep, I hate Naughty in that context too. Everywhere else it's a nice word... Ok, maybe not in day care... What about Bad and Good in same context. Haha, I had a pint of cookie dough ice cream the other day and I certainly felt pretty good. One more word just came to mind: Nasty. I personally don't think that's pleasant in any situation. Keep it up Lu, you are gorgeous! (Btw that Gummy post had me in stitches) xo

I hate 'whatever' as a reply, if you dont like what I say then tell me, dont give me the 'whatever' bullshit reply. And if I ask a question, I want a definate answer, as in 'use your mind and actually THINK' Pet peve overall are people who use all those r, u, k, and m8 type of shortcuts. Its all foreign to me and for the life of me if I get any emails, sms, or anything written with all that in it I just switch off, I simply do not understand what it says and I wont spend half an hour sitting trying to decypher what the person is saying. Major turn off for me. With that I am ok with the lol or pmsl or a few of those basic sortcuts, those I understand hahahaha

Thanks Hun I'm glad you enjoyed the Icecream and My Topic.. I did but at the Poor Guys expence I think ..I'm not putting him down He was being sincere, just that he figured I'd fit the bill being Mature and all he!he! Maybe I should get 1 of those Carnival Pics where Women can move their bottom Lip over their nose because they have No teeth instead of My own Pic he!he! I'd be inundated ..I've more than enough Interest now so I guess I won't bother :)

Quoting 'City_Kitty' People who use the words 'like' and/or 'you know' more than three times in a sentence should be shot. I doubt that there would be enough bullets in the country to achieve that successfully.

I have a couple I hate and a particular reason for hating them. The words may seem innocuous enough, my hatred of them is very much based in the situation. They are "fine" and "nothing". I am not a game player, I hate seeing how playing games hurts people so often. The flip side of that is that I often don't get hints or some of the subtle indications. So if I am talking to a (mostly female) friend or texting and they come out with "fine" or "nothing" in response to questions like.."how are you?" or "what's wrong?" It freaks me out. I know enough to know I have probably really really screwed up somewhere, but I can't always work out where. So those are my two words :) "Honesty! Not helping me get laid but sure helps when you look in the mirror every day!"

I think more women than you realise will agree with you.

"NICE"

You nailed it! Nice is definitely on the list. At least in the early days, nice is the kiss of death for any man it seems! And I just thought of another one.....one of the young girls suddenly came out with it the other day "omg". That is as in said aloud....O........M.........G. My first thought was "what the?" And ironically my second thought was " oh my god". It's a text speak invasion! Run for your lives!

i don't think, that words are negative, as such...."sticks and stones can break my bones..."..blah blah...it is the context, the situation, and ourselves most of all...that give words a positive/negative feel...if ,for example, some stranger called me a "dirty little slut" ...i would probably slap them, and tell them to fuck off!!if , on the other hand, my hubby calls me that...while i am on my knees, worshipping his cock...i would find it sexy, naughty, horny and affectionate!

....style annoys me...well, the lack of it, to be precise...i can't stand it, when someone writes me/us a message, in "text talk"..written language, is a beautiful thing...it is a wonderful way, for one to express themselves, in an elaborate, open manner..share their thoughts, feelings, opinions...so when i see someone raping the English language (even though it is not my native tongue..)it just gets the hackles up on my back..don't get me wrong...there's a time and a place for it...(like when you are texting a friend, that you're running late for coffee, for example)but if you have a proper keyboard....there's no reason, why not to use it, to it's full capacity!!!

Didn't realise this was your thread...Looked for it to put in another, what I consider can be a negative word after reading one of my threads. Police (associated with spelling, grammar, forum etc)Only the negative connotations associated with it mind you, usually exaggerated. That is all.

Negative words: everyone needs to say them from time to time, just don't say them too often and it's all good. I really hate "we'll see" instead of an outright "no". I must say that I do use things like "if you like/want" when I really don't mind and would rather someone else make the decision. Not listening is what gets our goat. For example, having to tell someone twice not to use latex condoms on me, only non-latex, then having to actually hand the guy a non-latex and make sure he puts it on, that's a real mood killer. If someone tells you something clearly, in plain English, you should really listen to that.

Not so much about words but I hate one expression most. PPL calling no reply rude and whinging about this in their profile. In my opinion courtesy is privilege not a right and demanding courtesy is simply rude in it self. A significant PPL choose not to reply online and calling them rude is disrespecting their choice. Some of them try to give a logic that it doesn't take long to reply. firstly time may not be the only reason for not replying secondly each reply adds up in time. Will we reject such PPL. NO they just loose some points on this and may be have plus points elsewhere. For few hours of company we are not looking for perfect match.
