Hubby does amateur photography and has a good camera/lenses. Do you know someone with a DSLR camera and good lenses that could take them?

I don't know anyone with the equipment, and/or that I'd trust for the session/s. There are a couple of businesses advertising such photography for men online in Melbourne, but the cost is very high and probably much more extravagent a shoot (sets/designs/outfits) than what I am after. These will be images for adult profiles, conventional dating profiles, and my own personal interest (pictures with my dog). I want to look real, not overly glammed-up. I wouldn't mind an amateur photographer, every professional was one once, and I've dabbled in it myself. Although I do want someone with experience of taking portrait shots with specific intentions. At least your hubby would not be averse to the kind of shots I may want taken :) There's not much in Ballarat but I'm in Melbourne most days.

I wouldn't mind some shots, nude or otherwise, that don't directly show my face, and/or where I'm looking away from the camera, or partially shadowed. These are to be public images, with others to be private gallery ones. Like I said, I want the angles, not the "model" photoshoots that will never look like the person you meet. This is why I need a photographer and equipment, who can quickly change angles or ask me to move slightly here or there, it is too hard for me with only a 10 second self timer on the camera, but I did manage it somewhat with the current pic :)

Know the feeling, hard to do your own. Used to do portraits and weddings. If you get stuck, message me.

If you are just wanting them for web display than just an up to date mobile camera should do the trick. If you wish to make prints you will need a high res camera depending on the size of the print. Good quality lens will be needed at about 4Mp and up depending on what you are shooting. But for Web and computer you are looking at less than 2Mega Pixels if that. Photos are about lighting and composition (how the subject matter is positioned in the image). Because of the high resolution of cameras these days and the relatively low resolution of the screen that you are displaying the images on the composition can be done after the shot has been taken. The easiest way to get some good shots is to take lots of photos and then dump the bad ones. Also if you need someone to just hold the camera but its to personal, you can set up a remote for your phone camera if you have a second phone, or laptop there are plenty of apps that use Wifi, or BlueTooth to remotely control the phones camera. I ran a advertising agency for 10 years and believe me, high end equipment is not a requirement. Just make sure you shoot as many shots as you can. You don't need a professorial, just a friend that is happy to hold and shoot. Also set your camera to burst mode, 5-6 photos in a row, so you have plenty of options. The real work is in the post production, cropping, adjusting levels. Then if you upload them here, they are cropped again, and re sized and re-compressed. Anyone can make high quality photos. just set the camera to auto and click away.

I have had some experience and have dabbled in photography for sales purposes myself (eg landscapes). I am in touch with someone now, as I am looking for recreational and general photos also (eg outdoors).
