Willowtree definitely the one with most topping on. Failing that the piece that looks cut the biggest...especially if I am sharing it, which is unlikely I can share ladies but not usually my pizza. Do you get out much OP?

I spent most of daylight today on the beach with a mate shooting the shit, and i couldn't be bothered cooking. So i asked em about it and most agreed that assuming a really uniform pizza (or in our case, being drunk enough that no matter what was going on we couldn't actually tell) the 5 or seven was easier to lever out. I find that weird cos it requires scraping your hand on the 6 o clock side of the box, while the 12 side is open. So i figured it must say something about our personalities. I haven't the foggiest what, but its interesting nonetheless. Now whenever i eat a pizza i always remember this, but only ever after i've grabbed my first slice, which is without fail either the 11 or 1 o clock. Man i'm so verbose... No wonder people are always trying to shut me up.

You could do square pizzas too... Corner, edge or crustless middle piece? Also if you can do the sweet and savory on a slice (ie pineapple doesnt constitute heresy) try chicken and mango with a bbq base. It was a drunken idea gone horribly right!

(biggest piece with the most toppings is ideal, regardless of what time it is) What happens if the cut line is 6 O'clock, then there is no 6 O'clock piece, has to b 5:25 or 6:35. Also, what happens if, someone turns the Pizza around, and also take a 6 O'clocker !!! Or... dish the whole lot onto another plate, then who knows what time it is, just eat the bastard, yum

It all depends on the situation. At home alone what ever is the easiest to reach. If I am not to hungry I will go for the best topping mix as some come very uneven and might as well get the best bit while I have room to fit it in. If its a shared pizza with uneven slices I always go for the smallest, or wait till everyone has got a slice. This got drummed into us when I was young and think its rude to take the largest slice when sharing, if all even then right hand at the 4-5 oclock mark, good etiquette means you should avoid reaching over food if you can. Even pizza. If I have returned from a day surfing, starving hungry, with a pizza and the lazy no good house mates are in I will take everything from 1-7 oclock and bite anyone that tries to get in before me. There better be a slice left over for the morning or there will be blood. If it has anchovies on it, I prefer a bit of the box it came in. I like my pipping hot pizza, thin supreme with extra pineapple and pepperoni, well done if the monkeys can handle that task, and no anchovies!!!

Well you have caused a few smiles I am sure. Hope you had a good day at the beach and enjoyed the said pizza. Being a bit strange too, I googled your question. However it appears you are unique in having that thought. The nearest google came was the claim that Alistair Stewart at his first slice of pizza aged 72. The accepted standard for cutting pizzas is 8 slices which means there is no 3 or 9 o`clock piece, but reading your post carefully I can see you are referring to the cut line. To throw a spanner in the works (toppings aside) I would take the piece above the 3 o`clock line.

I'll be watching all my friends with an eagle eye, trying to figure what their selection pattern means lol. I have never thought about this, and wouldn't have a clue if I have a preferred clock position for pizza selection. Forgetting about the size and amount of filling. Then logic has it (in my opinion anyway), that right handed people should go for 12 - 6, and left handed people 6-12, otherwise if you are a right handed person and want a 9 o'clocker you have to either twist your hand or use your left hand. If you are a right handed person then 1 o'clock would generally be easier to get to due to the extra space towards the corner of the box, and also the more natural to peel up from the back / crust, however the 5 o'clocker has the same attributes and would spill less filling as you are lifting it up with your right hand. See, logic.

Reheating on grill mix low can give it a whole new exprience. *drool* . We have a favourite pizza place that sell family size pizzas lol, that makes 16 pieces, the lot, with ancovies, olives and smoked oysters at no extra charge. Just deliicious and the pieces are usually fairly even in size and toppings. . Haha, I'll turn the box around to get to the piece I want, . And only ever use one hand, so I can keep one clean, lolol... Hungry...

but with all things biological, logic doesn't always hold true. Big slice people will grab a slice wrong handed to get that big slice. On a shared pizza i am a small slice guy. I didn't specify in the OP shared or not, but that turned out good. Some of you made assumptions one way or the other, which only added another tier to this little rorschach. I imagine a lot less women are used to eating a pizza solo. We can't talk about sex ALL the time. I tend to philosophize alot, its just my nature to think and assess. This does not get me as much action as you'd think.

When sharing a pizza( except with my sister) will go wait for everyone else to have thier choice first as was raised to let guests have the best first. Bro ! I scan the perimeter , all the way around the outside ! Around the outside ! Then in a spiral motion towards the centre ,this is where the first sign of a good pizza shall be precise in the criss cross of a perfect or off perfect number of cuts . A perfect cut shall cross dead centre and no more than 4 rolling cuts ! A perfect cut pizza i shall claim from position 3 to position 6 , a pizza cut with no knowledge or care will create different sizes therefore i shall rescan and claim the average size slice , being that this pizza could be faulty the next test shall be the firmness and quality of the base itself, and how it stands under the SWL of its top. And the containment of the above juices and oil content . Now if my chosen slice and quality should sag and drop its unsafe load , i quickly return that peice to its assigned position , and go for the smaller easier to manage slice. No Logic here when eating pizza. Lol. I hardly have it but when I do, it is usually shared with people rather than on my own. For me, pizza is a social meal and more enjoyable to share with (kids or family). Thin crust, capriossa or prawns with fetta maybe, as long as I have mine with anchovies and chillies. i pick the one with most anchovies and meat toppings, after I let my kids pick their share of course , regardless of position. I move the box around... easy. Lol. OP, so how are the beach?

Because, if you go for the pizza 'to the left' or 'to the right' of midnight - it's going to be a real pain in the rear end, when I come and move the pizza for you to 3am or 6am. It's a circle, it goes round and round! Probably just like this conversation will!

theres still slices close to the 4 cardinal o' clocks (12, 3. 6, 9). However we've discovered further factors. To witt,, thee box, slice size, topping conntent. its only the first slice that sez anything. once the pizza has been modified other rules come into play.
