  Proper pole dancing, the kind you see in competitions, is incredible to watch... both men and woman alike. Pole dancing in strip clubs, whilst relaxing fun to watch whilst having a beer with friends, is not so captivating. Have known a few people who actually had classes and they reckon it is a blast and does help you get fit (like any other exercise). It isn't as easy as you would think. SG

  I do pole dancing and it's incredible for your fitness levels n your strength! I do the real deal pole dancing, not the strip club pole dancing! Lots of bruises, skin taken off, n hard work!! It's fun though :-)

  You hire out pole dance poles?? To other people? Or you hire them from other people for you use? Because that just invoked a whole other image ..... A rather creepy one sorry Chev :)) - Posted from rhpmobile

  How does that work. All the poles that I have seen are attached to the ceiling. How do you keep them sturdy Chev? Pole dancing is really hard. Lots of sore hands, bumps and bruises.

  I take pole dancing classes and its a great way to get in shape and stay fit. I love it, its like exercise without the pressure. I have watched other ladies (more advanced than me) do pole dancing and I must say its quite a spectacle, its amazing to watch, quite sexy actually

  i have been doing pole dancing for fitness for a year now and i swear by it!! it is fun, and the amount of strength i have built doing it is unreal. the other girls i know that do it are all fun and friendly and there is a real camaraderie amongst polers that i have never experienced before, they are ladies of all ages, shapes, sizes and backgrounds and they don't judge instead they support each other and it is fantastic, i cant recommend it enough.

  Pole Dancing if you have the room at home you can set up moveable poles at home, I bought my daughter an X-Pole which is quite easy to setup and rock solid if done correctly. Mainly you need a solid floor and ceiling.

  Most pole studios will run parties often for hens nights and such like. They provide a suitably qualified instructor, a pole and sometimes boas and other accessories. It can be an awesome night because everyone who participates learns at least one proper move and a few sexy dance steps which can be quite useful in the right situation ;) I had an instructor once who would rather do Saturday classes every week than be on the hens party roster because she said often the hens would spoil the party by being too precious to have a go. She told me this usually happened when the party was a surprise and she didn't know what was coming. Her reaction would be one of total horror and 'How could you even think I would like to do THAT!" which put a downer on the whole night. Of course when the opposite happens everyone has an absolute blast but you do have to be careful when planning surprise parties. I do second Yummymummy's sentiments. The serious pole community is one of the most accepting and positive communities you will ever come accross.

  Yes I am insured .The poles are portable and 2 types.One is a pro pole with large assembled basethat is not attached to the roof.10 pieces and I need to assemble. The second is in 4 pieces pole that has a 12 inch base and a spring section to wedge against a ceiling and cant be used to swing onbut is just for sexy poses and basic moves.
