Risky TV References

It's great to watch favourite movies and TV shows over and over, finding new references or jokes we missed on previous viewings. As a fan of The Simpsons I had a good chuckle this morning during a Fox8 episode I have seen many times before with a reference which would be lost on many but not so for our RHP community. The episode is one where Homer proudly announces that he has finally paid off the mortgage but he then goes on to get a second mortgage to fund changes to Moe's Tavern. Marge of course doesn't like the idea so she insists on being involved to protect her investment. Anyhow, Marge and Moe spend lots of time together and end up scheduled on a flight together to a Tavern Owners conference in Aruba. Here's the clever reference which I have always missed until today... Homer begins to think Marge may be getting intimate with Moe and when the Cuckoo clock chimes Homer imagines the bird turns into Moe and says, "Cuckold, Cuckold" to which Homer asks the question "Cuckold? What's a Cuckold?" Brilliant! I'm sure there are many other popular TV shows and movies with subtle and risky references like that, perhaps you can share some more... Mr 2andMore...

I had Law and Order playing in the background yesterday, when a prosecutor mentioned Double Penetration while interrogating a suspect addicted to internet porn.

We took the kids to the movies to watch shrek and all through the film the adults were laughing at different times to the kids. Don't think I've ever seen a movie with so many one liners with double meanings.

Pottering away doing my work today and a coworker from Brisbane pops up with a link to Thumb Wars (the movie) on YouTube... being almost skilled at doing a few things at the same time I had the movie playing whilst drifting around the forums and stuffing around with a client email environment. So... what happens?1) I see this thread.2) An error pops up on the server I'm messing with.3) I hear a Yoda ripoff saying "I am a Puppet!! Hand goes into puppet, arm follows hand..."4) Amicus loses the plot and has to skip back to re watch the scene upon which hot coffee is spilt.5) Server crashed because I'm laughing so hard I clicked the wrong button.So, let this be a lesson, don't have a twisted fetish mind with flashbacks of some KinkyHotJo scene whilst watching Thumb Wars cause hearing "I am a Puppet!! Hand goes into puppet, arm follows hand..." will make your brain melt!

Yep... the movie makers at Pixar and Dreamworks finally worked out that if you really want to sell your movies to kids, put cleverly disguised adult content in them... smart cookies they are.Friends watch these movies and they can repeat some of the more double entendre sections better than the kids know any part of the film.

The closest Quagmire ever got to being circumspect:Brain: Ugh, I can't believe you're serving a three year sentence, it seems so harsh. Lois: Well, the only upside is that it's given me time to think about why I ended up in here. I guess I was stealin' because I was so sick of the same old routine. I felt like I had a void in my life, like, like, there was a secret hole in me...Quagmire: Oh God! Lois:...and I was tryin' to fill that hole with all kinds of expensive objects, and things... Quagmire: Oh God!!! Lois: ...and I felt wonderful with all those things fillin' that hole. Quagmire: Oh God!!!!!! Lois: I did this to myself, so I'm just gonna have to lay back and let the penal system teach me a lesson. Quagmire: That one is also sexual.

Another Simpsons episode is when the family gets an outdoor spa and forget an important event with Grampa. While The Simpsons are relaxing in the bubbling jets Marge gets concerned and says "Uh Oh! We're starting to attract swingers" when the picture then goes to show Disco Stu, Dr Hibbert and his missus, Mrs Krababbel and one or 2 other familiar characters approaching the spa...
