Toning advice

March 22 2015

Mr A here . Through a change of work practices I have lost 5 kilos in two months. 94 to 89 kgs on a 180cm frame. Most of the weight was in the lower ab region but I was wondering what I can do to tone up the area between the belly button and the breast area? . ta

Hey mate, I'm no expert on this but I can explain what I did, a few years back I was 84kg with very little muscle tone, now I'm 76kg and quite toned, I still eat the same foods, drink probably more than I should drink yet now Im toned and extremely fit...... All I did was bought a quality kayak and mountain bike....... Usually 3 or 4 times a week I jump on either one of them and in no time flab was gone.......lBecause your looking at your mid section I'd look at a paddle kayak rather than a peddle style if you enjoy being on the water..... since i last worked out, but i think crunches do your upper abdominals, while normal situps target the lower ones more... Might want to loo that up though, cos i'm not sure if my memory is failing me. And i'm too lazy to google it for you...

Food is the fuelExercise is the fire Its no mystery.... its merely putting theory into practice and calling it "lifestyle" Eat nutrition rich-energy poor wholefoods.... proteins like chicken, fish, eggs, turkey and pork... as many greens and base vegetables as you can eat, 5-6 smaller meals a day to raise your metabolism. Exercise.... compound lifting moves utilising multiple buscle groups like squats, presses and raises.... plus bursts of intense cardio.

You cannot spot reduce - you can do cardio in conjunction with weight training - diet is also a huge part of the equation! It is 90% what you put in your mouth and 10% exercise! Doing cardio like - running walking swimming rowing xtraining boxing cycling. A weight training program that focuses a few times a week on the upper lower n oblique muscles of the abdomen... Step out of your comfort zone and you will begin to have abs of steel - good luck and let us know how you go - Mrs C - Posted from rhpmobile
