Webcams

Hi, Just thought we would ask your thoughts on verification by webcam. Reason we are bringing up this topic is that we were chatting to another "supposed" couple and they brought up the question, do you have a webcam? As we don't have one at the moment for various reasons, we told that we should have one. So we suggested that a phone call could be used as verification instead they seemed to get upset and said "I don't give out my phone number" Then the coversation ended and the user left the chat. Just interested to know if any other couples have had this problem.

It is a hard one and all I can say it is like buying sight unseen. There are way too many fake cpls online and it then becomes a safety issue.

As you can imagine people suspect that there are plenty of profiles out there where people have not been completely honest and so each person tries to develop their own system to make sure that they're not wasting time.. My preferred system is to meet people at social events... you know... the people who show up are there to party.. the fakes are not. Nobody wants to sit around a coffee shop or get all gussied up waiting for a no show.. or someone who is not who they say that they are. A simple way to verify is by cam... it's reasonably reliable although I've had one person play a short video of someone else... I mean, they're that desperate! Jeese. Phone numbers.... not a good idea. With a phone number you can find out a lot about a person.People also meet in the chat room here... that's what it is for, really. So you can verify for your own eyes.HUgsStalky

In your case OP a webcam can prove that you and your partner are actually around the 31 and 29 year age mark, not 41 and 49, if you get my drift?Pics can lie, real time webcam is harder. Id invest in a webcam if you are serious about meeting people, if only just for the sole purpose of verification. It will also help you to prove that who you are conversing with are who they say they are.HTHx

We hate webcamming - but we have one and always offer to verify ourselves on it to put people's minds at ease, although we find people can then sometimes get annoyed because we won't stay online. Personally, we're happy to play "russian roullette" and meet sight unseen at a local coffee shop or bar as long as it's fairly local. At the end of the day if they don't show then we're quite capable of enjoying our own company for an hour or two away from the others in our house! :)

I personally have no problem with verifying myself on cam...to prove I am a 42 year old woman with a spare tyre, a few wrinkles and huge breasts...but then there is a percentage of men think that switching on your cam means that you want to rip ya gear off and put on a performance for them...but, yes webcams are very useful for verifying people..you wouldn't want to launch into a bit of sexy chat with ya mum or your bro now would you?

Quoting 'stalky'Phone numbers.... not a good idea. With a phone number you can find out a lot about a person.If your worried about phone numbers get yourself a $2 pre paid sim card to use for this like we do.

We are usually too busy in the evenings and weekedns to spend time on a webcam or sitting at a computer, so we definitely prefer a text/pic then public meet. If more progresses from there, that is great. not really into endless sex chat either- like to know someone a little and see if there is a mutual click from the couple and then go from there. All people are different so we go with the occasion!

Some couples will want a webcam they claim photos can be any age. We use ours if requested they cheap $30.00 suppose once every 3 mths. Be aware of the games that can be played on cam eg they may have a projector playing on a screen behind him. on the screen they will show whats meant to the wife. The safety precaution here is insist cam with sound so you have a four way conversation and there is 4 way interaction. warning: wife asleep on couch danger danger! Cams dont offer complete safety. We tend to go phone calls mobiles 1st then if all sounds genuine we go for land lines. Prior to any of this we want face and body shots. We have only ever had one no show, and suppose we have had 50--70 meets with couples over the last 8 years. That was when we were a year into it and well look back, we were stupid! (still am some say!) We have only ever looked for couples, never single ladies. We responded to a single female??? that claimed she was couple, and no photos and the meet place they wanted was a noisy bar. The mistakes we made that we now laugh about but make up our rules: 1/ Profile must be what we looking for and everything stays consistant with what their profile says. 2/ Photos face and body, so we can identify who we are meeting in public. 3/ A chat on the phone and swapping phone numbers. If we had applied these rules am sure we would be able to say "never had a no show"

Point well taken and I would agree for most.... but for me personally, I'm not that into organised hookups to require another sim. I'm actually surprised that, when this couple disclosed that they would not give you their phone number, that you didn't offer to simply provide yours.. hence problem solved. Maybe you did, and I'm reading too far into it?HugsStalky

Cams can be fun... so much so that I'm a cam girl hehe and get to tease all the peeps I want.. Verification by cam is simple but sometimes one sided, it's easy if they don't have a cam don't show yours!!

Hey Missweetiepie, we totally agree. a glance on a web cam does not an erotic arousing and comfortable event guarantee... to see briefly an image and read the desires fuelled by desperation and typed with hands soaking in lube. how can one connect on any level or execute any measures of harm minimization when catering to those who exercise an MO of "HEY HEY I SEE U PIC U BOY GOT NI DIK Y I U COME MY HOUSE PLAY FUK FUK UU ME ME SUK SUK."
