Now that BDSM has entered the mainstream first via music clips and then through 50 shades (groan) and with the movie and associated fanfare imminent have we gone forwards or backwards? Have we diluted the gene pool so to speak??

I am increasingly worried about peoples self perceptions...We get contacted by people who have listed their fetish likes as BDSM - soft , BDSM- hard, turns out their understanding is.. soft= furry hand cuffs, hard = rope (or for the more adventurous a bit of spanking...), RHP need a new category BDSM extreme for those wanting a bit of discomfort in their play
